Gray’s learnt to jump. Jump, running jumps and off high items jumps. He hasn’t yet learnt belly flopping from heights may cause injuries. Creating some hair raising moments for me!
Reading books on baby brother’s or sister’s arriving. In one ear and out the other me thinks! Gray is in for a big shock.
Babymoon! Thanks to Ben and Tanya we were able to take off to Martinborough for two child free nights. No doubt it will be a while before we can do that again! I was a bit teary leaving Gray on the Friday which was unexpected (I’m not the teary type) so I blame the hormones. It was wonderfully relaxing and rejuvinating. We spent most of the time reading, but also managed to catch a good movie (Margin Call) and eat alot!)
Gray had an awesome time at home, sounds as though he was on his best behaivour, typical for when we’re not around! Looks like from the photos he slept most of the time! When we came home on the Sunday I think we were definitely the second choice! But luckily my chicken roast won him back around and he went back for a second serving.
Is there a better feeling than realising your toddler is about to do a triple for their day nap? I think not!
This kid could live off dipping sauce. Last night mint sauce on his lamb roast. Tonight Oriental Plum sauce with chicken panko. Pity he eats most of the sauce with a dipping ‘finger’ instead of his veges!
10 week countdown. Feeling very unreal at the moment. Way more unreal than when I was this pregnant with Gray.
Happy Mother’s Day! A reminder than being a Mother is hard work but so rewarding. Amazing to look back at the past year, and then at the year ahead and think about where we will be this time next year. Mind blowing really.
Had an awesome week winning lots of random prizes! Got to be in to win is my new motto! Went down to Christchurch yesterday with Mum to bury Poppop’s ashes, lovely to catch up with the family and fly home first thing this morning to have brunch with Gray.
Just went to Little League (a local baby shop) to pick up some items for the new baby and a prize hamper I had won. Gray was well behaved, playing in the kids corner. I went to leave and all had gone quiet, of course I found him in the window display! Lucky it was a kids store so they laughed it off.
